Chapter- 2 | Who are you?
After completely recovering from that incident I started searching for the person who saved me.
Because from what I know, no one ever showed up around the lake.
This can’t be a coincidence. Someone appearing right when I was drowning,
I asked my sister if she remembered who called her. “The police.” she said.
So I went to the station to find out who called the police, and they gave me a number.
But guess what, that was my number. I asked them if they saw someone else there, but the answer was ‘no’.
Now what should I do? How was I supposed to find out who saved me.
I wandered around for a few minutes, trying to put all the pieces together.
I called mum and dad, asking if they knew anything. And I got nothing.
They told me to come back home and not to think much about it, but how can I not.
If it wasn’t for that person, I might have been dead today or worse, alive but not living.
I had to find out who it was, my thoughts won’t rest until I find out.
There it was, that noise in my head again. And it never stops.
So I went back to the place where it all began, the silent, lonely lake.
Sat on the same spot and thought about how I gave in to the peace and felt nothing all at once.
Deep in my thoughts, I went back to that day. Felt the water around me and tried to remember.
“You are not planning on falling again, are you? came a voice from behind that startled me.
I looked back and there stood a tall, slightly fair guy with a smoldering look on his face.
“What is that smug on your face for?” it kind of irritated me,
“You don’t remember me?” he asked,
“Who are you?”
“I’m the one who saved you.”
